>>37185184I didnt have cable growing up, so my only exposure to pokemon was on weekends watching 4kids. The pokemon card commercials and the gen3 anime, dont remember which one. One day my dad takes me and my siblings to just buy something for us at Walgreens. My parents were divorced at that point cause my dad couldn't hold a job and spent his days get drunk and smoking. So I treasured any time i got to spend with him, i mean i was only 6 or 7. Anyway interested in the cards, I get pick related. I never figured out how to play the game but the pictures and just concept of monsters fighting was enough for me to want more. Eventually i just started collecting the cards and trading them at school. After a suicide "attempt" (I was bluffing, my bitch ass just wanted attention) my mom took us to best buy and bought a ds for me and my siblings to share. We all got to pick a game and i chose Pokemon Ranger. That game was my life for the next year, until i reached this part i couldn't pass so I just quit. During that time I would have watched Spell of the Unown and Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. They were my favorite movies. Eventually I got and played through all the Ranger games and got interested when my little brother picked up HG. It was like the other pokemon games I'd seen on tv(the d/p commercials i watched on my babysitter's tv). I loved it and always begged him to let me restart it cause he dropped it after he beat whitney. But he still wanted to keep his typlosion so I just played his file. Then after my mom bought an internet router I just looked up a bunch of random pokemon shit accumulating a shit ton of useless trivia. A year later i would get my own mainseries game Pokemon Black. I've gotten one game of each gen following that year(W2,X,AS,S,US, i skipped LG). A friend i met in 6th grade introduced me to reddit and from there I found r/pokemon and serebii. 2 years later that same friend would intoduce me to 4chan and I've been shitposting here since then.
