My initial strategy with Aaron (Ba'al Flash + Sawyer sweep) didn't go as planned, but Leviathan was able to finish off his team without any issues. I believe it was Mr. Nuzlocke himself who said "If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again". I use the Ba'al and Sawyer duo once again with Bertha, but with actual success. Onto the infamous """fire specialist""". I was actually a bit worried about this one, but Flint's AI is stupid. After killing his Rapidash with Leviathan, he switches to his Lopunny which just allows me to set up Double Team and Barrier with zero consequences. ez match. Somehow, Lucian is even easier than Flint. Ba'al Flashes his Mr. Mime, which allows Beelzebub to come in and set up. ez match x 2.
I'm genuinely convinced that Cynthia's AI is bullshit, because after Flashing her Spiritomb three times and then switching to Leviathan who set up six Double Teams, she STILL managed to hit a little over half of her attacks. This applies to the Pokemon she switched to as well. The final match between our last two Pokemon (Milotic and Leviathan) was just PP stalling since I couldn't actually do much to her. After Leviathan ran out of PP, I switched to Beelzebub to take the Milotic out. Anti-climactic, but I took her down and became the champion. Onto the post-game.
