Every new game, every piece of media I see about Pokemon, just makes me compare it to those magical times I've had with the franchise. Every time I see an ugly-ass design or something it affects me personally. I'm 32 now. I'm so tired. I just want to move on.

My dream is that Pokemon would just die and be replaced with a different monster-collecting super franchise that this generation could call its own. Something that my kids could play that I don't give a shit about. Something that I know nothing about. I want my kids to say "hey daddy look at my bubbly Glaboopopo card", and I just play along and say "Woah! Look at that! So cool!" because I don't have any emotional attachment or opinions to this piece of children's media, just like my parents did to me.
