Maybe with certain teams getting priority over recieving jobs or loot, or getting more praise & advertising than others (maybe at some point even turning into straight up propaganda? but thats kinda risky & contrived so ehhh)
Obviously not so much as to bloat the story with political & modern nonsense, just enough as to create & justify tension & drama in the story, & elevate the level of conflict as the story continues
