Ok, got filtered by Brawly's Heracross again. Another go at it, this time with Torchic. Some interesting encounters like Yanma and Swinub, but it'll probably be a hot minute before they can really contribute. Anyways, after some Howl set ups, Norm cleaned house at Rustboro.

>>56513829Dodrio is a pretty solid option if you have no Flying-types, it's probably the best overall choice here. Raichu is solid, but outclassed by other Electric-types. That being said, you said this is Emerald so you're playing 7.8/10 too much water the region, so it can't be bad. Rhydon is strong, but again, 7.8 too much Water and doesn't have very good matchups. I'd say go with Pikachu if you lack an Electric-type, otherwise go with Dodrio.
>>56516279Only problem is that Gastly kinda sucks balls. But yeah, it lacks a good offensive move until it gets Shadow Ball, and you're only delaying its evolution by 4 levels. Probably a solid move.
