You can't remove a large percentage of the entire selling point of the franchise without making up for it somewhere else, especially in the places that GameFreak said all the effort was placed into.
But guess what? The animations are still the same shit we've had since X/Y where the Pokemon themselves barely move, the "high fidelity graphics" look no better than PS2 era games, and the Wild Area still looks like a barren wasteland where shit can't even load seamlessly.
Every other dev thtlat makes games for Nintendo as well as every Nintendo IP is doing fantastic with the Switch and we're just getting the same game we've gotten for the last 20 years, the only change being that it's once again removed features and it even went so far as to remove Pokemon.
You can continue to eat it up, make your shitty excuses like
