You get to see Johto beforehand. Jasmine is the first gym leader and uses Rock-types. A certain special someone canonically from Johto runs the Goldenrod gym, along with Falkner and Bugsy being replaced.
They are still in the game, but as Lasses and Bird Keepers rather than unique NPCs.I'll admit, first time using essentials. I hope to get the demo out in the next month or two, which includes two original towns, an expanded Burned Tower, three gyms, and ending in Goldenrod. Feels like a good place to release something to test it out.
