>>37873511It's not exactly a bad idea, it's just that without much more than "she left on an adventure" and the end of the original vaguely implying N considers Hilda/Hilbert his friends, it's certainly not enough to just assume they were that concerned with him, especially since he returns without either in the sequels, which can easily mean they weren't looking for him.
