Additionally, I've seen people defend Meowth's height as "well, the games have always said Meowth and Pikachu are the same height!" but in the anime they made Meowth taller than Pikachu for that nice Tom & Jerry effect.
And Yellow itself included Team Rocket based on the anime so it's already fucked up massively.
