In actual play people just use dice though, you have a 1-6 on that which means 10-60 damage. So 2 dice on 6 would be 120 damage instead of 12 of the little 10 tokens.
Dice is just way more convenient. I believe the 10 tokens from those kits are for children to better understand the game more than anything, but yeah everyone just uses dice for counting damage
