>>15570178Although Clamp's power is weak, it's slowly chipping more and more off of Froakie's health as the seconds tick by. The frog attempts to squeeze himself out of the hands, but what with the Ice Beam he's dealing with on top of that, there's only so much one Pokemon can do.
"Ice Beam? Why that move? Froakie resists it!"
"Does resistance really matter in a battle where my titan overwhelms your pathetic scum of a starter?"
".... Froakie, Scald!"
Just as most of his body begins to turn a lighter shade of frosty blue, Froakie pulls through, "Froooak!" he spits out a scalding stream of water to combat the chilly ice.
Froakie breaks free from the Clamp, but finds that his legs are partially frozen, "F-Froak!?"
"Looks like that Ice Beam didn't finish freezing him. Be a dear and help the little thing out, won't you Barbaracle?"
"BAAAAAAAAAARRRR!" the monster takes the Scald like it was nothing but cheap shit, and doesn't receive the burn either. Instead, he decides to give Froakie a hand by freeing his legs from the ice.
In the most absolute worst way possible.
>Barbaracle's Tough Claws!>Moves that make direct contact are stronger!"BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRBARAAAAAAAAAAAC!" the creature stands back and spring-launches one of his many fists into the air. With another roar of its name,
he launches it on a crash course towards Froakie.
Brick Break.
The swift chop lands a direct hit on
the space between both of Froakie's big 'ol eyes. The frog has no time to yell or scream, the chop sends him to the ground in a move that causes sand and dust to overtake the arena.
When that dust subsides, Froakie still gets up out of loyalty and the valiant refusal to give up, but he's definitely seen better days.
