Johto is based on more old world Japan with ancient dragon clan towns and the pagoda like towers in ecruteak. Kanto is obviously more modern and based of like Tokyo and what not. Had themes of technology etc. So yea theyre very different. And If johto is the older more traditional region in universe than wouldnt kanto technically be "west Johto"
I get that you dont like these games. They have valid flaws. But you obviously relish shitting on them and take a feverish glee in it. They are popular and that bothers you so you feel like you have to put extra effort in putting them down. Many such cases. Very sad.
