>>38073212As someone who's least favorite generation is 4, the hate for Rhyperior is overblown. I'm neutral on most of the design elements. I get what they were going for with the armor/construction worker motif and since Rhydon had a drill and was even classified as the drill pokemon, it's not that big of a leap to go to someone that would use a tool like a drill. Rhydon was already moving away from the Rhino design when it got on two legs and Rhyhorn isn't the most faithful pokemon to its animal inspiration, either.
What makes me like it are its rock launchers on its arms, which I think it does better than Alolan Golem since I could see it doing stuff like grabbing an attacker and then piercing it with a Stone Edge from its palm or something.
