>>49097967>Gym Leader VegaTeam - Liepard, Absol, Weavile, Honchkrow. His gimmick is that 'Dark Energy' damages all non-dark, psychic and ghost types by 1/8th each turn. Bit worried for this.
I lead Mawile to smack Liepard up a bit before he decides to swap into Weavile, so I slow Baton Pass as he oddly swaps again into Honchkrow as I go Clefable. Two Moonblasts take it down, then I swap Herdier on Absol. I swap Gabite, he goes Weavile. I swap Pignite on Ice Shard, eat a Persim Berry through his Swagger and take it down.
Then I fuck up. Absol comes back out, and I thought with a max speed IV, +Spe nature, and some speed EV training I would outspeed Absol given it's a weird 252/252 HP/Def spread. But no. Get outsped by one fucking point, and get killed by crit Psycho Cut. Pisses me off, but what can you do. I go Comfey, and Draining Kiss is more than sufficient to take out the rest of his team.
Wasn't really planning on calcing anything until the later bosses, but might have to amend that.
>Ivory/Shadow Boss ZephNot too difficult. Ivory is the first fight, with Misdreavus, Kadabra, and Alolan Persian. I lead Graveler, then swap Clefable to smack Misdreavus as it tries to use Will-o-Wisp/Confuse Ray nonsense. She swaps to Kadabra, I go Mawile and smack that too. Then she swaps Persian, and Clefable handles it until I get Swagger'd, for which I then swap Comfey and sweep her team.
Zeph is right after, and starts with his only mon, physical Mega Houndoom, this is why I led Graveler. A Bulldoze and a swap to Gabite to Bulldoze again takes it handily.
>>49099092No problem, as long as you're aware of your team's frailty and have a good plan for what you fight it's not necessarily a bad thing.
>>49099428It's fine anon, play how you want. The Johto level curve is annoying, no shame to be had there.
