When I heard they were doing new forms for them, I was kinda excited to see something like pic related for Blastoise. Or at least give it an interesting typing, like grabing the metal parts of the cannons and make it Water/Steel (as I had heard Ampharos was getting an aditional type) or something. A good defensive typing, together with Rapid Spin would reall make it way better than Empoleon could ever dream to be.
But they didn't. They just made it more offensive, for some reason. They didn't even gave it a second Mega, like they did for Charizard.
It's a damn shame, I really liked Wartortle, but seeing it evolve into a fat fuck with mechanical parts always ruined it for me.
Also, Mega Venusaur ruined the dinosaur and monster bit of Venusaur for me. That flower looks fucking gay, I'm sorry. Venusaur looked scary and weird, Mega Venusaur just looks boring.
