Despite seeing the other games their own eyes, they always have a sense of false superiority, saying how they were the last good games, pretending that gen 6 were the only games that had a hand in declining the series and constantly screech about gen 1 getting pandered to while willfully ignoring how they are the region that gets pandered to the most after Kanto. Do you know how much we would kill for a non-facility Steven postgame battle in gen 5? Not to meantion the narrative half of them have where the ps split somehow is the ultimate upgrade to the series because somehow letting gengar use shadow ball better enhances gameplay. I have never had one (1) genwunners ever talk bad about Hoenn, but you know who does? Those dirty moutain-loving primitives. When you bring up the something negative about Kanto, the genwunner doesn't deny it and only defends their undeniably amazing Pokemon designs. In contrast when you bring up the negative of Sinnoh to those Dawn-feet snorters, they deny everything. Their ego and pride has grown out of control and has become even worse than the genwunner. Just look how they explain the slowness of their region. They outright deny it and claim theirs nothing wrong with it, pretending that it's all made up.
