I was scared I would just lose to Brock but thanks to gen1 terrible movesets he only has shitty moves. A lot of sand-attacks, growls and leer helped me deal with it. While grinding on the viridian I found the rare Pidgeotto encounter and, because I still only had Pidgey, I could capture it, but it means that my Pidgey was doom to be forever a Pidgey cause of Dupes Clause.
Anyway, against Misty, since I couldnt evolve Pidgey, I used to kill the Staryu and sand attack twice the Starmie before it died. Then, with T-Wave and a lot of Mega Punches, Wigglytuff killed Misty ace. Sadly I cant get a Meowth in yellow, a Persian would be a great addition for the party.
