Not trying to be harsh or anything, but i've been looking at some of his designs, and he knows absolutely nothing about bird anatomy. Birds need big muscular arms in addition to their hollow bones and air sacs to take off, or else they're gonna break their wings when they flap. Most, if not all, of his birds have ridiculously thin twigs for arms that look like they can't carry the weight of the huge wing feathers and will snap by the sheer force of the feathers alone once they flap their wings. I'm not here to judge, but you need to understand the basic anatomy of the thing you want to draw, even if it's a cartoon, otherwise it will just look like something absurd that couldn't possibly exist in any way, not even in an universe of elemental fighting animals.
