There's a decent batch of filler after Ash meets Alder, which is a rarity in BW up to this point. Most of it was unremarkable, but I did enjoy the Deino episode. It seemed to be an ersatz version of the Swablu episode from AG, but with May caring for a Swablu replaced by Iris caring for a Deino. I'm not complaining at all. I think they're both very effective in doing what they set out to accomplish.
