It's pretty tough actually, I tried to keep each gen even (besides Kanto which has an extra starter) and get a representative for each type. But it does mean a lot of old favourites, like Shinx, have to be sacrificed.
Might try it again without Duskull and see how that goes, since I realise now a Ghost starter would be dumb in a MD game.
