>>53475724That is something that will likely evolve. We're in an awkward transition from an anime/cartoon depiction coming directly from the official art to more realistic creatures that are part of the environment and not 3D version of sprites anymore.
Pretty sure anything related to particle effects, fire, smoke, liquids, etc. will become real effects in the future.
Fire, for example, should illuminate the surrounding environment and produce optical distortions. And gas or smoke should not be solid 3D morphing shapes. It's still ok right now but unless the series go back to full anime aesthetic, it can't stay like that.
