The 0.5x and 2x cancel out, except for a 2x that remains, that's the one that results in the net weakness

Incidentally these are objectively the three worst types in the game and in desperate need of a buff.

Could it be that the type chart is getting rebalanced before officially showing Gen 8 mons of these types?

OP here, maybe they could fiddle with the type chart? I personally think water is the best type in the game. Not only does every water type have access to ice beam which nullifies one of their threats, but water is a great defensive typing overall. Monotypes are usually bad but you cannot go wrong with mono-water.
Me personally? I'd like to see poison be super effective against water because it makes sense and it'll make poison types more prominent in the metagame. Also make one or two more types resistant to water.

What would you do to balance this shit show?

One of the only interactions that don't make sense to me is why fairy is strong against fighting. I would think tough guys would beat up girly people. Unless it's the idea of guys can't hit girls. If that is the case I would perfer fairy to be immune to fighting.
