Gulpin were accidently transported here from the Hoenn region. In the cold mountains, the prey that Gulpin likes is not as readily available. So Gulpin will incapacitate what it finds, drag it to a safe hiding spot, and freeze it solid. When Gulpin is hungry again, it swallows the frozen prey whole, quickly thawing it out with its digestive juices. If you find yourself in a cave with many frozen Pokemon, but careful! You might have entered a Gulpin or Swalot's territory.
