Then I learned how to RNG abuse in gens 3-5, which among other things I used to give myself a cool looking trainer ID (eg. 00001) and a perfect shiny Bold Suicune in Dive Ball. The latter required me to listen to Oak's radio talk several hundreds of times (target frame was like 3500+ or so).
