Retards misattribute Hoenn as a soft reboot because you don't get to revisit Johto and you can't transfer your GSC mons. There's a handful of stand-in mons but Hoenn still has the staple mons Geodude, Zubat, Machop, etc so it's a stretch to lump it in with Unova.
