Chanting sounds might have worked temporarily in SWSH, but that's because it was an sport environment, battles were football-themed and the gym leader battle themes were already good by themselves. This "ooshy-gooshy" "feel-good song" vibe they're going for fucking sucks, this is musical slop and obvious mass-appeal marketing with such a shoddy effort it's laughable. It just makes me wanna puke not play anymore pokemon games, the final pokemon gym leader loop is seriously one of the worst parts of the game. This shit is indicative of the whole series' situation right now, it's like a cringy facsimile of what the franchise used to be and how big it's appeal was BEFORE going completely global.
