I was watching through the Twinleaf Festival stuff now and they seemed to keep hitting me over the head with Piplup being a dude, so I was wondering why I misremembered it so bad. You're right though, Pikachu wears the hakama when cheering for Dawn, but Piplup wears a cheerleader outfit like the rest of her Pokemon.
Still not sure about Pachirisu then. Johanna uses Glameow and Umbreon's attract on Dawn's Piplup and Pachirisu, and it's possible Umbreon's a guy, or that Glameow's been a secret dude all this time. But I don't know anymore.
