/crush on them, so he could easily feel threatened by how close Nemona and the MC are. Meanwhile Nemona would like him at first because he's another strong trainer for her to battle, but after realizing how much he hates her first and best friend/rival, she'd probably get too defensive of the MC. Nemona finally made a rival she loves, so it's time for her to make a rival she hates.
All this to say I want Nemona and Kieran to fight over the MC.
