couple things i'm noticing is that one, you really need antidotes in early game - nearly lost caterpie to poisoning from a wild weedle of all things. two, it's really easy to skip trainers - so, just to stop myself from conceivably just getting to level cap, i'm using a rule where i must fight all trainers before the next gym leader. how i'll deal with that for when kanto opens up, i'll decide
