>>22687516>i.e. encourages you to actually discover shit for yourself by experimentingTrial and error is not a plus for a video game, it creates unnecessary tedium and turns people off. It's the reason why people disliked that safari zone to begin with it added more tedium on top of the usual luck and chance of the Safari Zone.
I've said this before and I've said this again, people aren't in love with the mechanics of the safari zone but the concept of going out and catching mons without using your own.
>What you call "poor level scaling" is what I call "having an actual challengeAnd you say I'm grasping, in no way does the poor level scaling make the game any harder the AI is still the same piss poor one that has always existed in the main game. The one difference is that without a good level scaling you're going to get destroyed because the opponent can potentially one shot you because they grossly outlevel you. Again, that is NOT difficulty.
> ORAS and having NO chance of getting a rare Pokemon just by walking and doing other stuff. That's what the dex nav is for, it does everything the pokewalker does and more without the need to go outside. The one upside to the Pokewalker makes a good pedometer there's no benefits from that little trinket that jacks up the price a little.
No matter how you look at it HG/SS has more objective flaws than ORAS does especially when you realise it didn't fix things from the original games which ORAS actually did.
It's pretty sad seeing everyone defending it and saying it's gods gift to pokemon when it's such a poor game in all honesty.
