everything gen3 and before is mostly based on initial impressions since there's kind of a massive age and technological gap to account for, I was perfectly capable of tolerating how slow-as-molasses everything was but now I don't think I could put up with that
I bought ORAS on launch day and loved every second of it, went on to play the opposite edition as well and have sank 300 hours into them altogether so far
I also completely agree that XY's pacing was a bit wonky but trainer customization and the overall feel of it made it far more tolerable imho
