I think Silver is a fine character but what's with this lack of creativity with romhackers? Prism's rival Bronze is Silver word-for-word. Orange uses Cross from the anime and while I haven't beaten Orange yet Cross is going down that path and is at the second greentext. Grape's rival Paul is actually unique in that he never goes through a redemption arc and is an asshole the entire game and gets shat on quite a bit. Romhackers don't even try to fix any of the archetype's flaws like the rival being a huge jobber that's so easy to defeat.
