When on the field, all stat boosting/decreasing moves and abilities will have the opposite effect (essentially Contrary, but applied to all pokemon on the field as well as to status effects, e.g. a paralyzed pokemon gets a speed boost, a burned pokemon gets an attack boost, etc.).
