I beat Red but it wasn't pretty. His Pikachu, Venusaur, and Espeon were no problem. I taught Kangaskhan curse, rest, and sleep talk because I thought it could beat Snorlax that way, but Snorlax landed a massive crit right after Kangaskhan rested, and then sleep talk called for curse, so Kangaskhan died without doing any damage. Stantler couldn't beat Snorlax on its own so Donphan finished it off.
Then I didn't switch Donphan out and it died to Blastoise. Alakazam then comes in and kills Blastoise and does about 2/3 of Charizard's hp. Then Qwilfish killed Charizard for the victory.
It was a sloppy win and I made a bunch of mistakes but at least I won and can move on to gen 3.
