Watch out with bamboo, because it can get invasive quickly. It'll spawn more nearby within days, so unless you dig the shoots up and move them, or surround the area with patterns, you might find your town overrun.

Usually how I roll too (I didn't have anyone for gen 6), but SwSh's offerings have all been so good that it makes up for not having anyone in XY.

I used Gliscor in Platinum and had a blast with it, but your mileage may vary. I also had an Empoleon in Pearl that was good, but if you're going to have Milotic, you really don't need Empoleon too. There's no shame in boxing your starter- I boxed Servine before I'd even finished fully evolving it, and raised a Hydreigon instead. I did raise a Serene Grace Togekiss for a while before I transferred it up to my gen 7 living dex and I seem to recall it can run an annoyance set with stuff like Sweet Kiss and Thunder Wave quite nicely. Have you ever used Luxray or Roserade? Personally I enjoyed using both of those.

Yeah, no kidding. The thread is usually pretty dead between now and about 3-4pm my time. It's comfy, sure, but it can be a chore to stop it dropping off the board sometimes.

Don't get me wrong, I want to feed Piers most of all, but I want to do many other things with him too. Washing and brushing his hair is high on my list. I also want to give him massages and do regular exercises with him to help fix his posture.
