Maybe they'd be made of many short but deep steps, so small Pokemon can get up each one easily, while big Pokemon have enough room to place their feet on each one.
Or maybe they'd have one side of the staircase designed for smaller Pokemon, and the other side designed for bigger Pokemon, like the stairs in Anor Londo.
