I like most of the Pokemon, but I really don't like the entire aesthetic of Gen V. Something about it, from the overworld to the battle screen to the sprites, it just doesn't click with me. It looks like a knock-off Pokemon game, where they took the ideas but removed the general "cuteness" of Gen IV (which is, in my opinion, the perfect look for Pokemon), like making everything less colorful, de-chibifying the overworld sprites, and having older main characters, so they could appeal to kids who considered themselves too cool for a kiddy game like Pokemon.
