There are tons of Pokémon you can ride, several with amusing run cycles, and a few that even break the trend and excitedly run in front of you rather than behind you. Nobody likes the SWSH implementation because it was incredibly lazily done, limited to one paid DLC area, and many Pokémon walk at unreasonably slow speeds and take forever to catch up with you.
