Anyway, I think they could handle living in a modern society but wild ones wouldn't prefer it. I get the feeling their emotional sensitivity is a lot about mentality, so if given an isolated space (such as a home) to live in, they wouldn't be too bothered by excessive exposure to human emotion. I think wild ones would obviously always have to be in public spaces which would be uncomfortable for them. So I think as companions they'd be not that out there, but wild they'd be very uncommon in human settlements.
