Even the new moves that they give bug tend to be uninspired shit and it makes me sad. It's another type of a lot of untapped potential

I think first they need to balance the types that exist currently, and in particular they need to work on bug, psychic, rock, electric, grass, ghost, flying, dark and dragon because I do feel that those types need another look. And yes, that is basically half the types but I'm not kidding. I think all of those types need at least one or two tweaks in what they resist, what other types resist them, and then there's special type bonuses like how grass types are immune to powders. As for a new type, I think it needs to be something that opens up potential for new pokémon designs that couldn't exist currently. Or it needs to be a revisit of the shadow type concept where we get some sort of new type that is basically just a super type put on top of or over another
