Even if it was amazing and I loved it... If it wasn't accessible at all to kids and the game couldn't stoke a child's imagination at all, I'd complain.
I don't think children's media actually needs to be ultra colourful Nintendo childish to appeal to children, though. (I secretly believe ultra colourful, ultra childish Nintendo stuff mostly appeals to adults.)
