I really wish the game had the ability to notify you when a tier 5+ raid spawns in your area so you don’t miss it instead of other dumb shit
The ultra beast raids have bound to have happened in your area but you probably weren’t looking at the game at every waking hour so that’s probably why
With the raid window being from 6am-8pm the only thing you can really do locally is check gyms every hour which is… a lot to ask for
Sometimes if I do wake up at the asscrack of dawn I do notice a big raid going on and then the rest of the day might not even have it again. Sometimes it feels like when I have free time there are no raids in my area but when I’m busy there are raids everywhere!
>There's a huge queue in pokegenie too, usually the hype dies after a day.I’m surprised it’s not impossible to host yet, probably having to do with a number of things: regional demand thanks to every ultra beast being region locked for some reason, this being the first tier 5+ raid species debut that people can remote to in about a year, I think the last major raid rotation that had something new in it that wasn’t mega forms or alternate forms or elite in-person-only fomo bullshit was the galar regis, and that was only after their elite raids. Pretty sad.
But yeah, for new raids like this that I want to collect for, I always prioritize day 1-2 for raid app hosting so the queues aren’t as horrible as they are in the middle or end of the raid rotation span. I had to wait about 40 minutes for people to come to a regirock raid and I almost lost my place in the queue because pokegenie does not like you being in the queue for that long for some reason.
