In terms of quality it’s the best content GF has put out in the last decade, and the level design of the Isle of Armor itself is what the base game should have been. It’s pretty good DLC albeit overpriced, but most DLC for most games costs more than its worth even if it’s something incredible and nearly perfect like The Old Hunters for Bloodborne. If you don’t buy DLC for games very often then the Pokemon DLC won’t change your mind about DLC, but in terms of cost and what you actually get this DLC wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I expected.
They should let Hiroyuki Tani direct a full game, it’d undoubtedly be better than anything Masuda and Ohmori could shit out. Not only is Isle of Armor better than anything Ohmori has made and anything Masuda has made in over a decade, you can tell he’s still actually passionate about the series. He only joined GF during Sun and Moon development so he’s got a good few years left in him before GF beats the passion out of him.
