In one of my fics the Groudon vs Kyogre crisis was then defining event of the last few decades since they were the first 'god' level pokemon to awaken. Sort of a 9/11 deal, everyone remembers where they were since even as far away as Kanto the weather was going nuts. It remains pretty heavily in the publics conscious because ever since it feels like every couple of years a different region seems to come under threat of some some legendary pokemon. You can't even rest easy after your region has 'dealt' with its crisis after Unova got hit twice in a row. Kanto itself feels relatively safe because they don't have any 'legends' about ancient pokemon that could awaken. They do have urban legends though.

PokeNormal: Tales from the Celadon Extranormal Detective Agency. A tongue and cheek paranormal horror mystery comedy about a former scam artist turned detective's assistant who discovers his boss has been erased from the world and his memories, and the fairly normal girl he is trying to protect from a conspiracy of ghostly killers who really want her dead. Set in a post gen 9 Kanto that has traded its history and culture for modern convenience, it explores the childhood wonder and horror of old playground stories come to life.

This is a less serious story that I started writing since I wasn't able to work on Crystal Light as reliably. Its a lot more casual in both writing and plot that I can just slap out for fun when I feel like it. I take a very 'fuck it' mentality with this story and throw in whatever insane idea I can think of and somehow try to tie it all together into an overarching plot. Sort of follows a 'monster of the week' format as the protagonists attempt to out wit the horrors trying to kill them because they both suck at pokemon battling (to the point where picking their pokemon up and literally throwing them at the enemy has become their most successful reoccurring strategy). Its hopefully the right kind of cringe as the duo deals with secret messages hidden in Hatsune Miku music videos and Rotom controlled not-Tesla Cyber Truck Uber drivers.

Something weird is going on. No no, besides the fact that mankind lives alongside the fantastical creatures known as Pokemon. Besides the fact that psychic powers, ghostly spirits, and god like forces of nature aren't as unusual as one would expect. I'm talking really weird stuff.
