>>34149859They had a disagreement on their ideals, that we know for sure. They don't seem to hate each other too much in the main campaign tho, it looks more like your standard rivalry. And then when the day is saved by the protagonist, the not-main-villain of the version makes an offer to start anew. Their ideals made them stand as enemies but is obvious their past feelings are still there.
They are truly the canon gays.
