The pokémon designers are all over 40, so the odds are they chose Doronjo to base Meowscarada off, instead fo some zoomie shit made with the west in mind. And given the asians seem to have recognised this and made appropriate art and the fact they gave the duck to a Bayo designer with the mandate they make a fujo-friendly design coupled with the croc looking like it does, it's clear Meowscarada's the feminine starter of the Gen, like they've been making one of the sets since Gen 5 and being blatant about it since Gen 6.
