I havent watched much of the anime, most of what I watched was Gen 1 or 2 stuff, but the reason I stopped watching it was because of the repetitive format of above, I just started watching the first two episodes of xy and it seems like the show writers are sticking to this formula.
I really think the idea of a pokemon anime to expand and demonstrate the lore and just have fun with pokemon would be really cool and i'm wondering if maybe I haven't given the anime a proper chance, So i want to ask, are there any interesting episodes or arcs (are there even arcs in the pokemon anime?) that you can recommend that doesn't have this frustrating repetition?
