Was looking for Growlithe, but found this cute girl instead. I'm still pretty early game so I don't have a Moon Stone yet.

I guess it depends on the type of encounter. If I'm hunting and get what I'm looking for, it's excitement and relief, if it's not my target it's still excitement, but also a bit of a dread of doing another phase. If it's a completely RE, then it's a huge rush of excitement due to it being unexpected. I've only gotten a few truly random encounter shinies before, and I think those are the ones I remember getting best.

I never had G/S, only ever had Crystal and VC Crystal. I probably wouldn't use it though.

Probably my Stakataka due to how perfect it is to me. I was planning on just hunting a shiny of any nature, so no Synch, and then was going to catch a regular with the nature/stats I wanted (Lonely, 0 Def/31 Atk) since it would be easier to reset for those stats on a non-shiny. I get a shiny to show up, and lo and behold, he's Lonely natured. I check his IVs later on, and he had 0 Def and 31 Atk. I'm not sure how lucky I am, but damn am I grateful for my Pile'O'Gold.
