In nature, and even with man made stuff, purple doesn't denote poison and venom.
Hell, venomous animals tend to be really bright, like those little poison dart frogs, or the Blue ring, and from what Ive seen, venom itself is anywhere between sort of white and cloudy, to brown and cloudy.
So why are the majority of poison type Pokemon grape flavoured?
