Team Aqua seems to counterbalance this by being more about the preservation, restoration, and stimulation of nature. But they honestly come off as genocidal since they say they're doing this so that Pokemon have more room to live. Someone in a previous thread brought up how their plan would kill land-based Pokemon, but honestly, Pokemon have a highly adaptable physiology, moreso than humans, so for the most part they would be fine. Its human beings that would suffer the most from that plan.
... But honestly, they're both dumb and as cool as Groudon and Kyogre and Rayquaza are, the plots of their games are shit. Excluding the new stuff like Sword and Shield, which I haven't played, I think Gens 2 and 3 are real contenders for the worst plots.
